Stampin’ Up! Embossing Paste is so much fun! It reminded me of art class in grade school, spreading the paste, mixing colors, then watching the magic! The embossing paste is now available in Shimmery White (this is the paste I used) and Silver. I created one flower without adding color and then on the second added some Melon Mambo drops from an ink refill. The picture doesn’t do justice to the shimmer!
Tomorrow night during my Facebook Virtual Party I will have a short Facebook Live showing how to create a flower using Daffodil Delight on the card posted below. Most of the Virtual Party is just posts and information regarding the Occasions Catalog and Sale-a-bration but I loved using the paste so I decided to do a live video.
The cardstock is taped using washy tape to a piece of chipboard to help prevent curling. I found the thick Whisper White cardstock was better for using the paste but the regular cardstock worked just fine. Another hint – WASH THE MASK USED IMMEDIATELY. I let mine sit while working on another card that I want to show during the Virtual Party, it came off with very hot water but it was work!
I used one of the card bases from the Tutti-Fruitti set in the Sale-a-bration catalog and stamped some flowers around the edges of the card stock before stamping the sentiments on the white carsstock. We will add the embossing paste to this during the live video.
Tomorrow during the Virtual Party I will also show a card sample using one of the cards from the Petal Passions Memories and More Card Pack. I just trimmed it up and stamped a couple of sentiments on it. I’ll be sure to post after the party, it’s adorable! I will also share a sample of one of the cards from the Lots of Happy Card Kit tomorrow. I hope you can join me!
Update on Stamp Night – we will meet on Monday, January 29 from 6 – 9 p.m. If weather is bad, we won’t be able to meet again until Monday, Feb 26 due to travel. So mark that night on your calendar too!
