We are well into OnStage 2018 – day 2! Yesterday was a very full day so having a little down time here mid day after our Make and Take session is great! Time for pictures of displays, checking in at work (yes, I really did) and looking at all the pictures of snow at home in Illinois. It’s pretty but wow, I hope it is all gone by Sunday!
The new items in the Occasions Catalog have been fun to work with. My list is long already! But the consistent theme for all the stamp presentations has been focusing on 3 levels of stampers – Beginning, Casual and Avid. We all have our different ability and interest in stamping. It isn’t just about ability, it can be time, desire to purchase and how we like our cards to look when we are done. Right?
But remember that first time you put ink on paper and thought “I did that!”. It was so exciting! Or maybe casual is just enough time and product for a Birthday, sympathy or thinking of you card. Then there are Avid stampers – either they love complicated, layered, detailed cards and ALL the stuff to make it. OR just have to have all the stuff just because they love it! (Yep, that’s me!)
I love the categories and will try to keep them in mind as I plan classes (online or in person) and share card ideas.
This is a nice card we made today during our Make and Take using a new stamp set, Bloom by Bloom. The Designer Series Paper, behind the stamped flower image, has a raised texture feel (super cute patterns) and the Night of Navy enamel dots are sweet!
There is a board for sharing our thoughts about Stampin’Up! or business ideas. I did not write this one but…
Just a giggle for today!

Hello, checking in from OnStage in Orlando. It is our 30th Anniversary event and annual Stampin’Up! conference. In order to accommodate more people than events at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, the event is at the Orange County Convention Center. It’s huge!
I spent today checking in, getting the great registration items, posted below, navigating the I-Drive Trolley Bus and walking around. All that time in the sun walking and a short time at the pool resulted in pretty pink cheeks and nose!
The stamp set didn’t show too clearly on the edge of this picture but I showed it in a Facebook Live earlier. Stampin’Up! has lifted the usual restriction on sharing anything unless we order it. We can share it all, except opening and showing you the inside of the new Occasions Catalog. So stay tuned, especially on Facebook and Instagram, for updates. The stamp set is great and has some awesome sentiments!
Ok, tomorrow the fun begins. I am going to try to relax and rest now. I am still not used to time change and first night of travel etc., I was wide awake and up at 5 a.m (4 at home!)! The doors open at 8:30, the trolley was ok but lots of waiting!! So I think a taxi might be the ticket for the a.m.!
Stay tuned for more exciting updates!

The Snowflake Showcase is available November 1 – November 30 or while supplies last. It is a combination of two stamp sets (Snow is Glistening and Happiness Surrounds), Blizzard Thinlets, white velvet Designer Paper, Swirls and Curls embossing folder and snowflake embellishments. The Snow is Glistening stamp set will be beautiful for cards all winter and Happiness Surrounds goes well beyond the holidays.
This is a card I made tonight using Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and the Blizzard Thinlets. The large snowflake was cut using the white velvet Designer Paper and the small snowflakes on silver foil paper. The Joy sentiment is from the Snow is Glistening stamp set.
The Artisan Team, selected by Stampin’Up! to showcase stamp sets and other products, created some beautiful cards. I’ve posted two of them here.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I posted these updates today to connect my blog updates with email again. I hope it only shares the last two updates and not a lot more. If so, just scroll by. I am pretty sure I already sent these updates in an email newsletter. I will be excited to share updates with you from Florida and OnStage, our 35th anniversary convention and the announcement of the new Occasions Catalog!
Have a great week and I’ll be in touch!

Wow, it has been awhile! I have been posting daily on Facebook and Instagram but now it is time for catching up and updates!
The truth is I am still deciding the format of my blog and newsletters but can’t really decide. I also get overwhelmed with SEO ratings and following the right format, so in the end I don’t get anything posted. So instead of worrying, until my following grows more, I am just going to post and keep my site active.
I had a lot of fun with posting new 2018 Holiday Catalog items and Halloween themed items on Facebook and Instagram. It is so easy to make a card and post quickly. I hope if you are able you will follow me on both platforms. I only have one Instagram account, which you can find by my name. For Facebook you can search by @deena stamps or Deena Pavinato – Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
Don’t forget about Paper Pumpkin, a monthly kit of creativity! It contains all you need for cards or projects (depending on what they ship us each month). Your first month, for new subscribers, will also include a clear acrylic block. It contains one Stampin’Up! ink cube for stamping so over the course of a couple of months, you will have a nice collection. I love the ink cubes for stamping with my Stamparatus, I don’t get ink all over the stamping plate (although it never gets on the card, I just like to keep it tidy!). The November kit promises to be a good one, with hints for the holidays.
My goal for the next couple of days is to make some quick posts and attach the posts to email again. Then this week attending the closing conference for the 2018 year and our 35th anniversary, I will be able to share exciting news from the new Occasions Catalog! Wow, it is that time already!
See you again later today after some stamping!

This week on Facebook I shared 7 samples using the Love What You Do Stamp Set and the coordinating Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. We can get stuck thinking of ideas and ways to use a stamp set so I wanted to focus on it and share some samples. Also, with the Holiday Catalog in your hands now (if not, let me know) and another order due on my porch tomorrow (Yeah!), I will likely start focusing on Fall and then holidays so I don’t want to forget the wonderful products in our Annual Catalog.
Day 7 of Love What You Do Stamp Set featured a special card created by Kay Corredato for my birthday yesterday. It is lovely!
Kay mentioned she saw the card and another on Pinterest and changed it up to make it her own. Like many of us do! Creating is easy! As we move through the new product and Holiday Season I would love to share your creations too!!
