Stampin’ Blends are coming soon!

It is so exciting when new product is introduced on its own, at a different time than a new catalog. It’s not so overwhelming and we can focus on the new product. I saw a well known stamper, independent company, introduce a new product the other day, he said the same thing, it’s fun to introduce new items separate from the Holiday line.  So, as I mentioned the other day Stampin’ Blends are coming soon!

In November you will be able to order the Stampin’ Blends, either individually for $4.50, in dual color packs (a light and a dark shade) for $9.00 or the whole entire set of 26 plus the color lifter (Yes, we do make mistakes now and then). The entire set is $121.50… Christmas is coming, put it on your wish list!

I will have a small practice item for our stamp night on Monday, Oct 23 (please RSVP if you plan to attend) and I will have brochures for our November stamp night on November 13.  I am sure, just returning from Stampin’ Up! Convention in Salt Lake City Nov 9 – 12, I will come back with some great ideas and new info on ways to use the new alcohol-based blending markers.

To show you just how easy it is to use the blending markers, watch this short video by Stampin’ Up!

Aren’t they pretty! The video features the Color Me Happy stamp set and the Color Me Happy Project Kit which includes 16 card bases and envelopes with backgrounds and accents to create 4 cards each of 4 different designs.

So stay tuned for more information and card samples featuring our new Stampin’ Blends!

Pumpkin latte please!

I turned the news on to see the weather forecast for the weekend, we’re going to get cooler weather in Illinois beginning Sunday.  I’ll take a Pumpkin latte please!

I am really in the mood for Fall weather and sweaters. I have enjoyed the cool nights the past week or so. So, today’s card has lots of Fall colors and falling leaves.

I used the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper as the swirling background on Pumpkin Pie cardstock. This is one of the Designer Series Paper selections in the Buy 3, get 1 Free until the end of the month.  Click here to see the other DSP selections.

I love the Merry Cafe stamp set with a nice mix of stamps for Fall and Winter coffee breaks. I used the leaf thinlets from the Seasonal Layers Thinlet Dies.

Paper Pumpkin Update

If you liked yesterday’s October Paper Pumpkin Holiday Shaker Card, let me know if you want a kit.  For the first time ever, instead of refill kits to subscribers, we will be allowed to order entire kits.  This means the stamp set will be included. It has gotten such great reviews, the Stampin’ Up! team is allowing us to order complete sets.  They will be available to us on Monday, October 23 but I don’t expect inventory to last very long.

Adorable shaker cards

This month’s Paper Pumpkin contains all the supplies you need to create adorable shaker cards. The green plaid cardstock for the base and the envelopes lined in the same pattern makes this October kit awesome.

Usually I make a design as instructed and then start thinking about alternate ideas.  I don’t think I want or need one this month.  I did mention in this week’s Stamping Short and Sweet on my Facebook business page that these would also make great Holiday Thank You cards.  If you have been subscribing to Paper Pumpkin you have a Thank You sentiment from prior kits. If not, there are great Thank You stamp sets in the Annual Catalog.

Click here to visit my Facebook page to see the October Paper Pumpkin video I posted.

Paper Pumpkin is a great way to begin stamping, because you receive everything you need to make the projects. No extra purchases necessary.  I used Soft Sky ink to add the little snowflakes to the front of each card, but the two snowflake stamps are included in the kit.

This month’s kit includes the cardstock, Whisper White envelopes lined in the green and black plaid to match the cardstock.  The card fronts, three different embellishments to insert in the window, the adhesive to hold the embellishments in the window, labels and gold foil for the sentiment on one style card, mini glue dots and of course a great photopolymer stamp set.

If you think you would like to try a month, click on the Paper Pumpkin icon below to go to my website and subscribe.  November is going to be a coordinating project, but each month is a stand alone project. The Marketing information Stampin’ Up! sent us was that it was going to be a great set for card making and gift giving, so I think November might be a gift project but that is just a guess. Once you are a subscriber you can login and put a hold on any month if you want to take a break or know you will be too busy to work on the project.

Birthday Candles from Merry Patterns

I love the versatility of Stampin’ Up! stamp sets and Paper Pumpkin kits.  With a little creativity (and of course lots of idea-sharing among demonstrators) we can create Birthday Candles from Merry Patterns Christmas stamp set.  Our photopolymer stamp sets make it easy to add color to the outline of the candles.

I used two patterns of Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper to create the background and the label from the Large Number Framelits. It’s Your Day sentiment is from Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. The Product List of items used is at the end of this post.

Stampin’ Blends – Coming in November

Today on Facebook I shared Stampin’ Up’s post and chance to win the new Stampin’ Blends which will be available November 1 to all customers.  Demonstrators were able to order them October 1, I ordered them but can’t say that I have had a lot of time to color with them yet.  Stampin’ Up! introduced alcohol-based markers a couple of years ago, but there were quality issues so they were discontinued.  The new alcohol-based blending markers seem to have resolved the issues of drying up. I am anxious to share more information about them when they are released on November 1.

Visit my Facebook business page to see the Stampin’ Up! post I shared and either like, comment or share (on the Stampin’ Up! page) to be entered for a chance to win one of 101 prizes. 1 winner will win a complete set and 100 people will win a combo set. There is a light and dark marker in each combo set. Each marker have a fine and a thick end just like our Stampin’ Write markers.

Green Plaid and Pinecones

The new Paper Pumpkin has me in the mood for Green Plaid and Pinecones.  The Green Plaid is from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper in the Holiday Catalog.  The pinecones, branches and bow can be found in the Annual Catalog, Christmas Pines is a lovely stamp set returning from last Holiday season.

I’ll be sharing the new Paper Pumpkin kit in this week’s Stamping – Short and Sweet on Facebook Live this Wednesday. Visit my Facebook business page to see previous Facebook Live posts or to watch this Wednesday.  Be sure to set up the notify so you will know when I am online. The new kit is so cute.
