Love and Happiness are always in the air in February. It’s a great time for making Valentine’s Cards, celebrating love and friendship, remembering those we love. The heart is a beautiful symbol for those things and for remembering to do the things that make us happy, that keep our hearts beating and joyful.
I posted this Valentine’s Card, a friendship card on my Facebook page the other day. It is a mix of old and new – retired heart framelits and gold vinyl stickers from last year’s products as well as the new All My Love Designer Series Paper.
Today I played with a stamp set from the Sale-a-bration flyer. As a reminder, Sale-a-bration items can’t be purchased, you can choose a free item from the flyer for every $50 in your order. This one also reminds me of following your heart and finding happiness in life. The stamp and sentiment are from the By The Bay stamp set. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends markers to color the house, path, sand and sea. The wood Designer Series Paper is the Wood Textures 6 x 6 paper in the Annual Catalog.
The Occasions Catalog has some awesome new stamp sets and Designer Series Paper but it also has some cute project kits. This is the Cute Crew Punch Box on page 32. It comes with a photopolymer stamp set, a black archival stamp spot, a clear acrylic block, 4 full size watercolor pencils and a perfect scallop top punch for making adorable tags. It is all packaged in a bright tin that will be great for storing stamping supplies. We will use this kit to make a tag at next week’s Stamp Night (but during the day) on Sunday, February 17 from 1 – 4 p.m.
Speaking of Stamp “Night” we will also decorate one of these Sweet Cups. Since it will be after Valentine’s Day, you can keep it for yourself or save for a birthday or thinking of you treat!
Enjoy your week, do something that makes you happy. Be sure to spend time with those who are special to you. And Don’t Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle!
I’ve seen that sentiment a lot but just adore this little vase I found on a new website, Natural Life (www.naturallife.com). Check them out, they have awesome products!

Happy New Year?! I know, I’m a bit behind. I focus daily updates and posts on Facebook and Instagram so it’s been hard to get started again here in with my blog updates. But it’s time for the 2019 Occasions Catalog and SAB Updates. (SAB is short for Sale-a-bration). I guess with all the Christmas card stamping and then goal setting for 2019 (doing some new morning routines and a fun Goal Setting Planner), it took awhile to get my stamping mojo back. I have a couple of cards today but most of my stamping has been cards to mail so I don’t post those.
Before we get to card ideas, I hope you are enjoying the 2019 Occasions Catalog, and of course, the Sale-a-bration flyer. If you are new to the first quarter of a year with Stampin’Up!, a new catalog is always released and the best sale of the year, Sale-a-bration. For every $50 ordered from either the Annual Catalog, the Occasions Catalog or the website (Clearance and Holiday Favorites are still there), you can select a free item from the Sale-a-bration flyer. (check them out on my website, click here ) I love some of the items in SAB this year!
But it seems a recurring issue with Stampin’Up! the past couple of catalogs is inventory. I know! As a demonstrator it is very frustrating to share new products or want to hold a class and then find out the products are back ordered. But we are hoping they will be back in stock soon. I wanted to let you know the updates I have so that you aren’t disappointed when putting your order together.
Some of those items are: Happiness Blooms Memories and More card packs, Gingham Gala 6×6 Designer Paper Stack, the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (SAB), Piece of Cake or Butterfly Gala Bundles, Butterfly Duet or Cake Builder Punches. There are some kits on back order too. The Home to Roost stamp set (SAB) is low inventory. As I have mentioned on social media posts, roosters are everywhere again, so on trend! So I expect that to be a back order soon too, so if you want, order quickly.
This is a card I made today with Home to Roost. I love the stamp set!
I’ve listed products below but I did not include all the Stampin’ Blends markers I used. I saw the rooster coloring on a Google search so used a lot of markers to create this handsome guy. I also wrapped some gold thread in the background. I also used a sponge dauber and some Soft Suede over the top of the Tin Tile embossed cardstock to give it a vintage look.
Stampin’ Blends Markers
Speaking of Stampin’ Blends – did you see two new colors in the Occasions Catalog (of course I ordered them!)? The two new colors, available in light and dark or combo pack, are Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow.
Even though the Butterfly Duet Punch is on back order, I used the new Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper in the Sale-a-bration catalog to create this card. I simply “fussy cut” the butterfly and added it over two circles cut with circle framelits from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Set and created color layers with the black check paper, also from the Botanical Butterfly DSP.
It’s easy to forget the great items we have in the Annual Catalog this time of year so I might start focusing on cards from that catalog until inventory levels are back up. Remember they earn free SAB rewards too!
I would love to hear from you regarding the new catalog or what you have been stamping. Just reply to this post in email (if that is how you are receiving it) or feel free to comment on the blog post for others to see.
I would also like to know your thoughts on two other items:
Stamp Night – are you like me and once it is dark (and cold) you don’t want to leave the house? What would you think about Sunday afternoon stamping? Not next Sunday, it’s Super Bowl Sunday, but I am open on the 10th or 17th.
If you follow my Stampin’Up! business page on Facebook, would you be interested in a stamping group page? A group page allows us to share stamping ideas (I can only post on my business page). If it is a stamping group, we can share other products and ideas, it wouldn’t have to be exclusive Stampin’Up! products but they are primarily the products I use. Let me know what you think!
I could go on and on, once I get started I think of so many things I want to share with you. But we’ll stop here for today.
A Touch of Inspiration
One of my favorite pages on Facebook is Garden of Bright Images, (thanks for catching typo Kathy!). I share their posts ALOT! I loved this post the other day and I hope you enjoy it too!
Until next time,

Are you ready for Christmas? I know it is still early, we were lucky to have a week after Thanksgiving but I am feeling a tad behind. Most of my decorations are up but I haven’t started Christmas cards yet and on Day 3 of Advent, my Advent calendar is just half done.
So if you are like me and need to get started on cards, I am thinking about a stamp night on Monday, Dec 10 from 6 – 9 p.m I have events every night this week so I might only get a couple of cards designed and prepped to choose from. I have another order coming from the Holiday Catalog this week so I might be motivated to get some done. Stamp night might just be an open stamp, make cards using my stamps and cardstock.
Pricing will be 6 for $15 or free with a $30 order. So come and play with some stamps and decide what you might need to finish your cards. We might be able to sneak in more more open stamp night but it would have to be the following week just to stamp more of what you have designed.
Let me know if you would be interested and I will confirm later in the week. Of course you will get to sneak peek the Occasions Catalog and items I have on hand. Catalogs are shipping soon directly from Stampin’Up! to you if you have ordered from me.
I saw this cute post on Facebook

Online Extravaganza begins soon! Stampin’Up! has great deals from the Annual Catalog beginning on Black Friday through November 28.
Check out the photos below for details on the items that are on sale each day. But these are the details:
- All order types qualify for this promotion.
- Includes customer, demonstrator, workshop, and online orders.
- Promotion includes items from the 2018–2019 annual catalog only.
- While discounts will be available for most items, some exclusions apply. These non-discounted items include—but are not limited to—the following products:
- Host stamp sets
- Paper Pumpkin (prepaids, monthly subscriptions, past kits/refills)
- Big Shot
- Bundles will not receive additional discounts during this promotion.
Make sure you order the items below on the specific day (order every day!) to get the discounts! All at 10% off! Each 48-hour sale will feature two product categories (e.g., paper, stamps, ink, etc.). When one sale ends, the next sale begins; this cycle will continue until Online Extravaganza is over. By the end, nearly every item from the annual catalog will have been on sale!
Also, stay tuned for details on the Craft and Carry Tote. Mine arrived yesterday. We saw it at OnStage and then were able to pre-order this month. It’s huge and lots of pockets. Watch a video by clicking here!
Love it? It is going to be a demonstrator only option. You can add this tote to your starter kit during Sale-a-bration this year. Even if you are a hobby only stamper and don’t want to work Stampin’Up! as a business, if you order $100, we might as well order a starter kit! Then just order $300 a quarter to remain active. You can combine orders with your friends or just order on your own.
I also received more new items in an order this week (with my Craft and Carry Tote and the new Stamparatus bag!) that we saw at OnStage. I might play a little this weekend before starting on Christmas cards. I definitely post on Facebook so follow me there or I will try to do another post over the weekend.
Lastly and most important, thank you for reading my blogs and ordering this past year. I am truly thankful for you, my stamping friends – the joy we share stamping and your support ordering from me! Happy Thanksgiving!

We are well into OnStage 2018 – day 2! Yesterday was a very full day so having a little down time here mid day after our Make and Take session is great! Time for pictures of displays, checking in at work (yes, I really did) and looking at all the pictures of snow at home in Illinois. It’s pretty but wow, I hope it is all gone by Sunday!
The new items in the Occasions Catalog have been fun to work with. My list is long already! But the consistent theme for all the stamp presentations has been focusing on 3 levels of stampers – Beginning, Casual and Avid. We all have our different ability and interest in stamping. It isn’t just about ability, it can be time, desire to purchase and how we like our cards to look when we are done. Right?
But remember that first time you put ink on paper and thought “I did that!”. It was so exciting! Or maybe casual is just enough time and product for a Birthday, sympathy or thinking of you card. Then there are Avid stampers – either they love complicated, layered, detailed cards and ALL the stuff to make it. OR just have to have all the stuff just because they love it! (Yep, that’s me!)
I love the categories and will try to keep them in mind as I plan classes (online or in person) and share card ideas.
This is a nice card we made today during our Make and Take using a new stamp set, Bloom by Bloom. The Designer Series Paper, behind the stamped flower image, has a raised texture feel (super cute patterns) and the Night of Navy enamel dots are sweet!
There is a board for sharing our thoughts about Stampin’Up! or business ideas. I did not write this one but…
Just a giggle for today!
