Stampin’Up! designed the June Paper Pumpkin to create interest in one of the new stamp sets in the Annual Catalog. Broadway Star & Broadway Bound are meant to coordinate, so if you ordered and liked what was in the June kit, you could continue with Broadway crafting by ordering the Broadway Bound Suite. I ordered the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper during our pre-order month and used one of the designs on my card post on June 7 but wasn’t sure about ordering the Suite. Using the Paper Pumpkin kit to make my first card, I think the Suite is now on my wish list. Really cute!
Once again, I did not follow instructions making this card. It’s not that I was opposed to the card, I used the design. But there was a white adhesive tag in the kit and we were supposed to use the TINY little star pattern to stamp all over the white tag. Not Happening! My compulsive and perfectionist nature would make me crazy trying to line up all those little stars. And after a long day at work, seriously, not happening!
So I used some one of the designs of the DSP and cut the paper the size of the tag, adhered the paper to the tag and then adhered the tag to the card base. You can see what it was supposed to look like in the pictures below. I like mine too!
I didn’t use the Broadway Bound Suite, except for the Designer Series Paper on my version of the Paper Pumpkin card but I will post the suite items here in the event that you don’t have a catalog.
I think the Paper Pumpkin kit and the Broadway Bound Suite are great for birthdays but could also be used for graduation or general congratulations. If you get this or any suite in the new catalog, please visit my Facebook page, (a quick way to find the page is @deenastamps) and share ideas. I would love to see posts from all of you on my page!
