What a fun time of year – time for demonstrators, like me, to begin posting our Holiday 2017 Catalog Sneak Peeks!
The Stampin’ Up! Holiday 2017 catalog is just FULL of wonderful new stamp sets, punches, framelits and edgelits, Designer Series Paper (DSP), Paper stacks and embellishments. The more I look at the catalog, the more I want!
To see some of the items I ordered, go to my Facebook page, I posted a Facebook Live Holiday 2017 Sneak Peek video of my first order on my business page. I will be ordering again this month and throughout the Fall so follow me on Facebook so that you can see the latest products and cards.
Carols of Christmas is available for pre-order
My customers will be receiving their catalogs in the next week or so (let me know if you are new to my blog and need a catalog, I’d be happy to send one to you) and may begin ordering on Sept 1.
Carols of Christmas is a set that is available for pre-order during the month of August. Check out my Facebook page or previous posts for card samples of using this stamp set. Now that the new catalog is out, we have new DSP and washi tape to use with this set!
Other Holiday 2017 Sneak Peek Items!
I started with Fall items because I thought the Painted Harvest set would be versatile for my Birthday Month celebration. The colors and the patterns of the Painted Autumn DSP are so pretty. I am definitely in the mood for these colors. I bought some new flowers for the house to add a bit of a Fall harvest look to the flowers I already had planted or arranged in pots. I will post some pictures on the Facebook page.
Don’t forget to comment on a birthday card post on Facebook, post a picture of a card you made on my FB business page or comment on one of my blog posts for a chance to win 3 prizes from the new catalog. I will enter all names and select winners at the end of August. Isn’t this pretty? A special card for a special friend with an August birthday!
Halloween is so much fun!
As I said in my holiday reveal, even some of the patterns on the Halloween DSP has some cute black and orange patterns that can be used even if you aren’t fond of creating Halloween themed cards. One of my favorite items with this stamp set – the cat punch!
Something to consider…
I found this on Pinterest. I think it is true for stampers! I mentioned a few posts ago that I had a night that I just couldn’t come up with any ideas. Well, with brand new stamp sets, especially when you receive them right away, there aren’t a lot of ideas besides what Stampin’ Up! shares with us. So you know what, you just have to play. I almost feel that the lack of ideas was more freeing. I didn’t have anyone else to compare myself to. AND I have gotten so much positive feedback on my ideas. So, maybe the secret is to just play and not spend time looking for ideas or watching posts from other stampers. Just do it to have fun and share your love of stamping with others!

Carols of Christmas Stamp Set in July!
I have seen decorations in the stores so I guess it is time to start experimenting with my new Carols of Christmas stamp set. I love this set. I think it is going to have lots of versatility for holiday cards, invitations, winter birthdays or thank you cards. I kept these first two simple – a little Wink of Stella to the branches for some glimmer and the returning Seasonal Bells stamp set and punch to “deck” out the card a bit.
But I’m just not Creative!
We all have those days! Sunday I was just stuck, couldn’t think, sat looking at pictures on Pinterest…I mean stuck in a rut! So I just relaxed, didn’t force it and had a relaxing evening instead. Last night I used my July 2017 Paper Pumpkin to get me started, I made one card like the instruction card and then did my own thing on the second one. Two of the million dollar achievers with Stampin’ Up! admit they seldom design their own cards but look to fellow demonstrators for ideas and then tweak to make their own. You are creative! You can make someone’s day by sending a card you made. Don’t be afraid, just do it!
July 2017 Paper Pumpkin
I tried to copy the Facebook Slideshow but didn’t get it to work right. Check out my Facebook business page or visit You Tube for the Paper Pumpkin video for July 2017. It is so easy to make cards and projects with Paper Pumpkin!
