Happy Halloween & Thank You!

I did it, I made it to October 31 and completed my 31 Day Blog Challenge.  So, Happy Halloween & Thank You!

I loved the challenge of writing every day and creating cards and posts to share with you.  It was a lot of work, but I really enjoyed it. Thanks to all of you for reading and following along. I am especially thankful to those of you who took the time to comment either in a post or by replying to the email you receive. I can’t tell you how much it means to receive feedback and comments.  Thank you to each of you!

I will continue to blog but not every day like this month. It will probably be 3 – 4 days a week just because there will be so much going on and new things to share with you from now until after the New Year. The new Stampin’ Blends will be available this week, November 1 and I will be attending Convention in early November and hearing about the new catalogs and products. Of course, we are still making cards for Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year. I won’t be able to share information regarding the new catalogs right away but as soon as we can I’ll be excited to share so that you can begin planning for January and the best sale of the year, Sale-a-bration!

Product List

So enjoy all the little ghosts and goblins for Halloween but please be sure to keep pets inside and safe, all the excitement can be upsetting to them.

Halloween Weekend #4 – I couldn’t resist one more!

Halloween Weekend #4 – I couldn’t resist one more post with a card and a treat box idea.  (I’m not ready for Monday anyway so why not post a “Weekend” post.)

Not all Halloween cards need to use the Spooky Cat, Graveyard Gate or Creep It Real Halloween stamp sets. I opted for a cute theme and used the Foxy Friends stamp set.  I used the pumpkins from the Pick a Pumpkin bundle. The Happy Halloween is an old Stampin’Up! stamp but so darn cute, I had to use it with the fox peeking in to say Happy Halloween!

Halloween Treat Box

I used the new little pizza boxes in Holiday Catalog to create a couple of treat boxes for Halloween treats. They don’t have to have black cats and use scary themes to be adorable for Halloween. One of the boxes has a circle trim from the Spooky Nights Designer Series Paper and a sweet orange cat instead of (my favorite) black cat punch. For the second treat box I created a border trim from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack. I decorated with burlap ribbon, a foil pumpkin and branch stem made with gold and copper foil paper. The foil gold leaf in the back on the window sheet is one of the leaves from the September Paper Pumpkin kit.

Paper Pumpkin Reminder

Don’t forget to sign up for Paper Pumpkin by end of day (11:50 MT) October 10 to receive this month’s kit. There still haven’t been any new clues except that October and November will be a coordinating theme for card and gift giving. This picture was provided on the marketing flyer. Of course you don’t have to purchase October and November to have a complete project. They are stand alone kits. If you subscribe and are busy a month, you can hold a month at any time by logging in to the Paper Pumpkin site and placing the project for that month on hold. The deadline to join or change is always the 10th of each month. (The problem is I am always afraid I will miss a good month so I just save the kit if I don’t have time for it the month it arrives!)

Thanks for joining our Halloween weekend fun, Butters wanted to drop by and say Hi!

The leaves are just beginning to change here in Illinois so I think I might work with fall leaves and trees for this week’s theme. Let’s see what I come up with!

Halloween Weekend #3

My post for Halloween Weekend #3 is an idea that I took from our Holiday catalog but changed it up a bit.  These cute acrylic boxes are in the Holiday and the Annual Catalog.  Stampin’Up! used the black cat punch (yes, I was tempted to use it again!), the witches hat and a sentiment.

I used the new black/white ribbon from the Merry Little Christmas Suite, a pumpkin from Pick A Pumpkin bundle and the sentiment from Spooky Cat stamp set.

I found the cute little orange jelly pumpkins at a discount store in our area (Big Lots).  They are so adorable!

Did you make or send a card for World Card Making Day? World Card Making Day might be over but don’t forget that the specials continue until Tuesday, Oct. 10.  Check out my post on Sept 30 for all the details.  Remember that the Fast Fuse was removed from the specials due to inventory and the large number of orders that were placed!

Another Halloween Treat

Another Halloween Treat was one that I saw on a Facebook Live by another demonstrator.  I didn’t write down the dimensions but I remembered that she used the Scalloped Tag Topper which has a 2 inch opening for cardstock and I assumed I needed a 1 inch score on the bottom to make the base.  Then I just created a belly band to wrap around the candies and hold the candy in the mini treat pouch.  It turned out cute.

I hope your Sunday is a wonderful one!

Halloween Weekend #2 and World Card Making Day

It’s Halloween Weekend #2 and World Card Making Day!  What a great day to make a card and send to someone you’ve been meaning to send a note or just to say Hello.  Sending a handmade card lets people know you care enough to put thought and energy into the card you are sending.  They can be simple and sweet. It will be appreciated regardless of the complexity of the card details.

I mentioned in my Facebook Live, Stamping – Short and Sweet a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to order the Large Letter stamps and framelits.  I love the Eclipse technique I demonstrated and decided they were an investment I wanted to make. While planning for my Halloween Weekend posts I spotted a card similar to this one on our Demonstrator Planning Facebook group.  It is an awesome group to share ideas and ask for advice. I can’t recall who it was that posted it but I am definitely admitting to CASE’g (copy and share everything) the card. It’s an awesome idea and I am glad that my Large Letters arrived. I used the Swirly Scribbles framelits and created the “O” in the Boo with black cardstock .

As you can see I also used my favorite Cat Punch. I also stamped a little pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set and cut it out with the Patterned Pumpkins Thinlits.  The Trick or Treat sentiment is from the Spooky Cat stamp set and Spooky Night Designer Series Paper I featured yesterday.

An Adult Size Treat

Another idea that I saw online was a cute candy wrapper and decorations using the Spooky Night Designers Series Paper, Cat Punch and Pick A Pumpkin bundle. We made some of these at Stamp Night last week, super cute!

(Are you getting the idea – not every idea that you come up with as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator has to be an original one! We share a lot!)

World Card Making Day

So, what will you create today? I’ll share some of my ideas tomorrow.

Let’s have a Halloween Weekend!

Have you decorated for Halloween yet? Are you going to stamp some cards for family, friends or little crafts for Trick or Treaters?  Let’s have a Halloween Weekend! I’ll share some cards and project ideas with you.

I just can’t get enough of this spooky tree! Today’s visitor is an owl that just wants to get dressed and have fun with the little trick or treaters.

I used the Spooky Cat stamp set and the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the owl and the hat, then “fussy cut” the each of them and then adhered them with Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals. I used the sentiment from the stamp set.

I think I have used this DSP more than any other in a very long time! It is just so versatile!

Be sure to check for each blog post throughout the weekend so you can see all the cards and projects.

Fast Fuse Update

I posted an update on Facebook Thursday regarding Fast Fuse.  Stampin’ Up! advised demonstrators today that the special to buy a Fast Fuse and then receive 2 free refills (part of the World Card Making Card specials) was such a hit they had to stop taking orders for now.  At some point when inventory is replenished they will let us know and offer it again.  If you were planning to order some by October 10, I am sorry for the inventory issue but will let you know as soon as I see we are ready to have a special Fast Fuse sale again!
