Ready for Christmas?

Are you ready for Christmas? I know it is still early, we were lucky to have a week after Thanksgiving but I am feeling a tad behind. Most of my decorations are up but I haven’t started Christmas cards yet and on Day 3 of Advent, my Advent calendar is just half done.

So if you are like me and need to get started on cards, I am thinking about a stamp night on Monday, Dec 10 from 6 – 9 p.m I have events every night this week so I might only get a couple of cards designed and prepped to choose from. I have another order coming from the Holiday Catalog this week so I might be motivated to get some done. Stamp night might just be an open stamp, make cards using my stamps and cardstock.

Pricing will be 6 for $15 or free with a $30 order. So come and play with some stamps and decide what you might need to finish your cards. We might be able to sneak in more more open stamp night but it would have to be the following week just to stamp more of what you have designed.

Let me know if you would be interested and I will confirm later in the week. Of course you will get to sneak peek the Occasions Catalog and items I have on hand. Catalogs are shipping soon directly from Stampin’Up! to you if you have ordered from me.

Adorable shaker cards

This month’s Paper Pumpkin contains all the supplies you need to create adorable shaker cards. The green plaid cardstock for the base and the envelopes lined in the same pattern makes this October kit awesome.

Usually I make a design as instructed and then start thinking about alternate ideas.  I don’t think I want or need one this month.  I did mention in this week’s Stamping Short and Sweet on my Facebook business page that these would also make great Holiday Thank You cards.  If you have been subscribing to Paper Pumpkin you have a Thank You sentiment from prior kits. If not, there are great Thank You stamp sets in the Annual Catalog.

Paper Pumpkin is a great way to begin stamping, because you receive everything you need to make the projects. No extra purchases necessary.  I used Soft Sky ink to add the little snowflakes to the front of each card, but the two snowflake stamps are included in the kit.

This month’s kit includes the cardstock, Whisper White envelopes lined in the green and black plaid to match the cardstock.  The card fronts, three different embellishments to insert in the window, the adhesive to hold the embellishments in the window, labels and gold foil for the sentiment on one style card, mini glue dots and of course a great photopolymer stamp set.

If you think you would like to try a month, click on the Paper Pumpkin icon below to go to my website and subscribe.  November is going to be a coordinating project, but each month is a stand alone project. The Marketing information Stampin’ Up! sent us was that it was going to be a great set for card making and gift giving, so I think November might be a gift project but that is just a guess. Once you are a subscriber you can login and put a hold on any month if you want to take a break or know you will be too busy to work on the project.
