Repeating Pattern Techniques

Repeating Pattern Techniques are an easy way to create wreaths and elegant designs on cards. Using stamping tools like Stampin’Up!’s Stamparatus or the MISTI help with precision alignment.  Using square pieces of cardstock create a wreath or circle appearance. In my card sample, I wanted to use my typical layering size pieces of cardstock so it created more of an elongated design.  Do what make you happy! There is no right or wrong.

I also received the new bundle of Blended Seasons and Stitched Seasons Framelit Dies earlier this month. These are pre-order items for demonstrators in July and will be available for you to order August 1.

This is just a practice image, I didn’t create a card. I wanted to try the largest stitched die (love it!) and stamped the largest flower image. I used Stampin’ Blender markers on the pink flowers (my attempt to represent the beautiful little Proven Winner Superbells I have in a pot on the patio). I also used the markers for the various greens on the leaves. I used the Gorgeous Grape from the new Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen to smooth out the pencil lines. I stamped a leaf branch in Flirty Flamingo on Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

It is going to be a fun set for Fall and Winter!

Speaking of Fall and Winter – can you believe it, the Holiday Catalog will be available to demonstrators this next week. I’ve seen some sneak peeks from demonstrators on the Alaskan Incentive Cruise, Holidays are never a disappointment with Stampin’Up!  We’ll be able to order August 1 and customers September 1.  Fall is my season, so I am really looking forward to it!

Join my team, there isn’t a better time than right now, new demonstrators (besides getting all the early perks and peeks like I do) will receive a free assortment of 10 Classic Stampin’ Pads along with the “regular” starter package of $125 product for $99 and free shipping. The free colors are from the Brights, Neutrals, Regals, Subtles and 2017-2019 In Colors. What a great way to build your stamp pad assortment! But you must join by July 31 to take advantage of this offer.

Thankful, Grateful and Blessed

Stamping and sharing my love of putting ink on paper is so much fun and easier to create with all of the social media groups we can join or participate in as stampers. Of course, Pinterest is an amazing source of card creations and ideas.  I feel Thankful, Grateful and Blessed to be a part of the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator community as well as all the wonderful stampers who also share their ideas online and in these groups.  Everyone is so supportive and we love to comment, “like” and acknowledge others for their creative efforts.  I am constantly amazed by the creations I see posted!

One of our Stampin’ Up! leaders, Janice Weightman, posted this pretty card as one of the cards they were making at her Stamp Retreat this past weekend.  I love the simplicity but the embossed background and gold foil label behind the sentiment are so pretty and make the card quite elegant.

This card features a sentiment from the Paisleys and Poisies stamp set.  The embossing folder used is new this year in our Annual Catalog, it is called Layered Leaves.

If you love to stamp and share ideas, we would love to have you join our stamping community at Stampin’ Up!  Even if you are a hobbyist and don’t want to host workshops or stamp at parties, but you spend $300 in 3 months (or order with friends) you would love (and should take advantage of) the discount on your orders.

Of course it is fun to hear about new items and be able to order them before our customers!  An initial order when you sign up will allow you to order $125 of product for $99 and a business supply kit valued at $50 included.  The advantage of joining this time of year is that since you are starting after a selling quarter (Oct – Dec) has started, you would have until March (end of first quarter 2018) to meet your $300 minimum.  By then we will have the new catalog and Sale-a-bration items for January and you would be able to order before others!  If this sounds appealing, let me know. I would love to have you on my team.  You can find more details on my Stampin’ Up! demonstrator website by clicking here.

Reminder – stamp night at my house Mon., Oct 22 from 6 – 9 p.m.

When it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or you take them with gratitude.                               –  GK Chesterton
