Love and Happiness

Love and Happiness are always in the air in February. It’s a great time for making Valentine’s Cards, celebrating love and friendship, remembering those we love. The heart is a beautiful symbol for those things and for remembering to do the things that make us happy, that keep our hearts beating and joyful.

I posted this Valentine’s Card, a friendship card on my Facebook page the other day.  It is a mix of old and new – retired heart framelits and gold vinyl stickers from last year’s products as well as the new All My Love Designer Series Paper.

Today I played with a stamp set from the Sale-a-bration flyer. As a reminder, Sale-a-bration items can’t be purchased, you can choose a free item from the flyer for every $50 in your order. This one also reminds me of following your heart and finding happiness in life. The stamp and sentiment are from the By The Bay stamp set.  I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends markers to color the house, path, sand and sea. The wood Designer Series Paper is the Wood Textures 6 x 6 paper in the Annual Catalog.

The Occasions Catalog has some awesome new stamp sets and Designer Series Paper but it also has some cute project kits.  This is the Cute Crew Punch Box on page 32.  It comes with a photopolymer stamp set, a black archival stamp spot, a clear acrylic block, 4 full size watercolor pencils and a perfect scallop top punch for making adorable tags. It is all packaged in a bright tin that will be great for storing stamping supplies. We will use this kit to make a tag at next week’s Stamp Night (but during the day) on Sunday, February 17 from 1 – 4 p.m.

Speaking of Stamp “Night” we will also decorate one of these Sweet Cups. Since it will be after Valentine’s Day, you can keep it for yourself or save for a birthday or thinking of you treat!

Enjoy your week, do something that makes you happy. Be sure to spend time with those who are special to you. And Don’t Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle!

I’ve seen that sentiment a lot but just adore this little vase I found on a new website, Natural Life (www.naturallife.com). Check them out, they have awesome products!

2019 Occasions Catalog and SAB Updates

Happy New Year?! I know, I’m a bit behind. I focus daily updates and posts on Facebook and Instagram so it’s been hard to get started again here in with my blog updates. But it’s time for the 2019 Occasions Catalog and SAB Updates. (SAB is short for Sale-a-bration). I guess with all the Christmas card stamping and then goal setting for 2019 (doing some new morning routines and a fun Goal Setting Planner), it took awhile to get my stamping mojo back.  I have a couple of cards today but most of my stamping has been cards to mail so I don’t post those.

Before we get to card ideas, I hope you are enjoying the 2019 Occasions Catalog, and of course, the Sale-a-bration flyer. If you are new to the first quarter of a year with Stampin’Up!, a new catalog is always released and the best sale of the year, Sale-a-bration.  For every $50 ordered from either the Annual Catalog, the Occasions Catalog or the website (Clearance and Holiday Favorites are still there), you can select a free item from the Sale-a-bration flyer. (check them out on my website, click here ) I love some of the items in SAB this year!

Inventory Updates

But it seems a recurring issue with Stampin’Up! the past couple of catalogs is inventory. I know! As a demonstrator it is very frustrating to share new products or want to hold a class and then find out the products are back ordered.  But we are hoping they will be back in stock soon. I wanted to let you know the updates I have so that you aren’t disappointed when putting your order together.

Some of those items are: Happiness Blooms Memories and More card packs, Gingham Gala 6×6 Designer Paper Stack, the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (SAB), Piece of Cake or Butterfly Gala Bundles, Butterfly Duet or Cake Builder Punches. There are some kits on back order too.  The Home to Roost stamp set (SAB) is low inventory.  As I have mentioned on social media posts, roosters are everywhere again, so on trend! So I expect that to be a back order soon too, so if you want, order quickly.

This is a card I made today with Home to Roost. I love the stamp set!

I’ve listed products below but I did not include all the Stampin’ Blends markers I used. I saw the rooster coloring on a Google search so used a lot of markers to create this handsome guy. I also wrapped some gold thread in the background.  I also used a sponge dauber and some Soft Suede over the top of the Tin Tile embossed cardstock to give it a vintage look.

Product List

Stampin’ Blends Markers

Speaking of Stampin’ Blends – did you see two new colors in the Occasions Catalog (of course I ordered them!)? The two new colors, available in light and dark or combo pack, are Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow.

Even though the Butterfly Duet Punch is on back order, I used the new Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper in the Sale-a-bration catalog to create this card. I simply “fussy cut” the butterfly and added it over two circles cut with circle framelits from the Stitched Shapes Framelit Set and created color layers with the black check paper, also from the Botanical Butterfly DSP.

It’s easy to forget the great items we have in the Annual Catalog this time of year so I might start focusing on cards from that catalog until inventory levels are back up. Remember they earn free SAB rewards too!

Let’s Chat

I would love to hear from you regarding the new catalog or what you have been stamping. Just reply to this post in email (if that is how you are receiving it) or feel free to comment on the blog post for others to see.

I would also like to know your thoughts on two other items:

Stamp Night – are you like me and once it is dark (and cold) you don’t want to leave the house? What would you think about Sunday afternoon stamping? Not next Sunday, it’s Super Bowl Sunday, but I am open on the 10th or 17th.

If you follow my Stampin’Up! business page on Facebook, would you be interested in a stamping group page? A group page allows us to share stamping ideas (I can only post on my business page). If it is a stamping group, we can share other products and ideas, it wouldn’t have to be exclusive Stampin’Up! products but they are primarily the products I use. Let me know what you think!

I could go on and on, once I get started I think of so many things I want to share with you. But we’ll stop here for today.

A Touch of Inspiration

One of my favorite pages on Facebook is Garden of Bright Images, (thanks for catching typo Kathy!). I share their posts ALOT! I loved this post the other day and I hope you enjoy it too!

Until next time,

One more week of Sale-a-bration

One more week of Sale-a-bration – it amazes me that we are at the end of March. It is also Holy Week and we are preparing for Easter on April 1. I may only get one more post in this week, due to business travel, so I thought I better send a reminder that Sale-a-bration will be ending next Saturday and that means this is your last chance to select FREE product with your order of at least $50. If nothing else, I would at least place one order to replenish cardstock or ink and select the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper. It is so pretty!

Visit my site to view the items you can order as FREE items for every $50 or $100 and place your order this week! Click here, then select any product line and click until you get to the complete set of links on the left side and you will see Sale-a-bration at the top to view all the options you can select as free items with your order.

I posted on my Facebook page today that you won’t be able to order Stampin’ Blends.  Stampin’ Up! took them off the order list because certain items were starting to back order due to  popularity of our Stampin’ Blends and they didn’t want to create a frustrating situation for those ordering.  I hope the inventory will be restored soon and the awesome blends back in stock! As I mentioned on Facebook, I have purchased some other blender pens and markers, and the ease of use and look of the Stampin’ Blends is superior!

As Holy Week begins today, I started some Easter Card designs. I love the Hold On To Hope stamp set/bundle. I used Stampin’ Up! Gold Foil Paper for the cross in the middle.  I saw this design on Pinterest and changed the flowers and sentiment a bit.

The little lamb is a retired Stampin’ Up! stamp but so cute I had to use him for a card. I used current Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper for the background and colored him with Stampin’ Blends.

My Stamparatus reservation was filled and was available for me to close the order and ship this week.  I have been playing with it, it takes some practice.  I find that the red rubber (clear) stamps work the best for me.  I am not getting clear images with the photopolymer stamps yet but the good thing is that the stamp goes to the exact same place on the cardstock so I can reink and stamp again.  My favorite use so far is getting the stamps lined up perfectly and stamping exactly where I want it!  I added an image below, The two stamps are on the Stamparatus plate and the cardstock with the inked sentiment is on the foam bottom of the tool.  This is the inside of the Hold On To Hope card with the crosses that I posted above.

As I mentioned I might try to post during the week if I am able. I will be posting more again in April and May as we close out the Occasions Catalog and 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.

Hope Your Day Is Magical

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, I Hope Your Day Is Magical filled with fun, family and a little bit of good luck!

I can’t believe how fast the days are flying by, March is half way over and this is the final month of Sale-a-bration! 3 months have flown by! A mentor started a 365 day challenge today, I can’t imagine! But maybe if I did one too, I would post a couple times a week again (wink)! We’ll see!

The first weekend of April I travel to Milwaukee for OnStage to see the new Annual Catalog and New products. So there will be lots to share in the next couple of months!

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves and get back to Sale-a-bration…if you follow me on Facebook you know that the 15th was the third addition of products to choose as free items. Last month Stampin’Up! added the Eclectic Expressions, the gorgeous Springtime Foil and Blossoming Basket Bundle. This week SU added a wonderful selection of items from our Occasions Catalog and more! Awesome items were added like the Color Me Happy Project Kit, the Scattered Sequins Dynamic embossing folder (WOW on that one!!), cardstock packs, the new Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper, even a couple of Stampin’ Write markers!

The picture shows the new items but visit my Demonstrator Site to see better images and place your order.

For those in Illinois, have a safe weekend if the weather ends up a wintery mix as predicted for Saturday. I am looking forward to working on some Easter cards!

March is here!

March is here and there is a lot going on this month! I don’t mean March Madness basketball!

It is the final month of Sale-a-bration. Don’t miss out on the chance to get free product. I used the Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set to create this card. It is one of the new items added in February. I also ordered the beautiful Springtime Foil Paper but haven’t played with it yet!

In March Stampin’ Up! is also celebrating the 5 year anniversary of Paper Pumpkin. Order by March 10 to get this month’s kit. Besides a fun project, there will be a special anniversary box and a free gift! Don’t miss out!

This was one of my alternative projects using the February kit. I used some items from the Occasions Catalog and the Annual Catalog too.

There are some great items in the Occasions Catalog for Easter. Holy Week is the last week of the month with Easter on April 1, it will be here before you know it!

New Sale-a-bration products

New Sale-a-bration products are available. It is a great time of year to pick up FREE product! I ordered   this a.m and selected Epic Celebrations, previously on back order but also picked up our new Springtime Foils Paper (foil is huge in the industry right now) and  Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set, two of the new product.

Stay tuned, I hope to stamp with them when back home this weekend!

Don’t forget to use the Workshop Code when you place an order, through Monday February 26. I will send you a free pack of the gorgeous Gold Vinyl stickers from the Occasions Catalog for an order of $50 or more. This of course also earns you free Sale-a-bration items. The workshop code is: F6RCFZZH

Since I can’t Stamp and post a card this week, I would like to share an idea that our gorgeous Painted With Love Designer Series Paper doesn’t have to be used for Valentines Cards. Here are some gorgeous ideas from our Artisan Team.

Rhoda MacPherson:

Because I am traveling this week, instead of meeting last Monday of the month, Stamp Night will be Monday, March 5 from 6-9 p.m. I will have a couple of samples using New SAB product but it will be an open stamp night. You can make 4 cards for $10, come with an idea of type of card and you can use my product to make it!

I am thinking of all of you in Illinois, as I have seen pictures of the river and flooding. Well, there is a lot of rain here in Texas too so I imagine a lot of the Central portion of the country is impacted. Please be safe!
