Repeating Pattern Techniques are an easy way to create wreaths and elegant designs on cards. Using stamping tools like Stampin’Up!’s Stamparatus or the MISTI help with precision alignment. Using square pieces of cardstock create a wreath or circle appearance. In my card sample, I wanted to use my typical layering size pieces of cardstock so it created more of an elongated design. Do what make you happy! There is no right or wrong.
I also received the new bundle of Blended Seasons and Stitched Seasons Framelit Dies earlier this month. These are pre-order items for demonstrators in July and will be available for you to order August 1.
This is just a practice image, I didn’t create a card. I wanted to try the largest stitched die (love it!) and stamped the largest flower image. I used Stampin’ Blender markers on the pink flowers (my attempt to represent the beautiful little Proven Winner Superbells I have in a pot on the patio). I also used the markers for the various greens on the leaves. I used the Gorgeous Grape from the new Watercolor Pencils and a blender pen to smooth out the pencil lines. I stamped a leaf branch in Flirty Flamingo on Flirty Flamingo Cardstock.

With sunny and hot days ahead, the Sunny Days Stamp Set is perfect! I think lemonade is going to be a welcome refreshment for the next few days here in Illinois.
I used Memento black ink and the Stampin’ Up watercolor pencils for my coloring. I love to smooth out the pencil lines with Stampin’ Up! Blender Pens. I used Old Olive ink for the sentiment and grass. The background cardstock is Pineapple Punch, one of the 2018-2020 InColors.
For those of you that don’t follow my Stampin’ Up! Facebook page, I explained that I took a break from the 30 Day Card Challenge I set for myself, and really, from stamping all together. I have been going through a very stressful time and decided I was only making things worse by adding more to my to do list. I am spending time on my emotional and physical health, so I appreciate the understanding and “likes” on my Facebook page as I posted other things rather than cards I had stamped. I am focusing on what’s next for me in many areas of my life. It’s a challenging time but also one that I know will bring about positive results. So Sunny Days is a great Stamp Set to get back to stamping with! I will continue to stamp but you may see some other products used with my Stampin’ Up! products. I am excited about the times ahead. I hope you will continue to join me on this journey.
Quick note – as of this evening as I write this, the new Stampin’ Blends markers are available today. I just worked on my order and I am sure many demonstrators are. Get an order in right away if you are anxious to try some of the new colors. I know Stampin’ Up! was waiting to allow ordering until they felt they could prevent a back order situation, but they are highly anticipated so we’ll see how long they are in stock. I am sure they will continue to keep inventory coming in but I wanted to give you a heads up.
I genuinely wish you Sunny Days ahead!

I would like to share one more card kit, Lots of Happy Card Kit, then I will get back to cards using new stamp sets. I wanted to make a Thank You card for a neighbor that helped me with a new car battery. I didn’t want anything with flowers or cute patterns, not his style (wink)! So I pulled out Lots of Happy. I remembered the bold black and white stripes and great label options. Once I pulled out the pieces I wanted to use, I decided I needed just a little bit of color but simple, because I wasn’t going to use the flower and vellum pieces that come with the kit. I used a simple pattern from the new Animal Expeditions Designer Series Paper.
I like the way it turned out and easy to make! The Lots of Happy Card Kit has three size envelopes and cards that can be used as gift cards or the full size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card for mailing like I chose for his card. There are lots of patterns to color with the watercolor pencils included in the kit, vellum shapes, white and gold foil tags and labels, ribbon, cardstock for the card bases and of course stamps with a variety of sentiments. You can find it on page 9 of the Annual Catalog or by clicking on this link then Kits on my website to see all of the card kit options.
I couldn’t find the sports car of my dreams, so I built it myself. – Ferdinand Porsche.
