Quick and simple images can make beautiful cards whether a flower image or Eastern Beauty patterns as used in this card. The simple circle stamp with lotus flower pattern inside repeated in various spots on the paper create a pretty background.
In keeping with my theme to highlight new items in the Annual Catalog, I used Animal Expeditions Designer Series Paper on the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.
I added black to make the images more striking on the DSP and cardstock. The label was easy too, I simply cut out a second label in black and cut it in half with scissors then used adhesive to attach the top and bottom halves peeking behind the white.
In character, in manner, in style, in all things, the supreme excellence is simplicity. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Welcome Little One to this world! What an adorable way to send a baby welcome than with the new Animal Outing Stamp Set. It is such a sweet set and the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper helps create cute backgrounds, trims, patterns to fussy cut or use in scrapbook pages.
We are so excited waiting for our first baby in the family. My niece Maureen and her husband Ben are waiting for Baby Holmes on July 1, so you may be seeing a lot of baby cards as I play and experiment with different cards! I can’t wait!
Animal Expedition DSP is one of the papers that will be offered in the Buy 3 get 1 Free special in July. Take a look online or in the catalog (stamp set and DSP on page 27 of the Annual Catalog) to start planning all the ways you will use this paper!

Have fun in the sea with Sea of Textures stamp set and coordinating framelits. I had so much fun with this set, selecting the colors to use for the seaweed, sand dollar, fishing net and of course the octopus. This set will definitely become one of your favorites. I will post the products used for this card below the other updates in this post.
I have a couple of updates to share so I turned the blog post/email option on for this post. Maybe I will turn it on every other or every third post. If you are reading this post from an email, click on the link at the bottom of the email (or the link “Read in Browser), you will leave the email and be routed to my blog. There you will be able to scroll and see cards for the days that I did not share the post in email. Let me know what you think of sharing in this way.
July Designer Series Special!
I will share some of the new Designer Series Papers that have been introduced in the new catalog this month. Once again, Stampin’Up! is offering a Buy 3, Get 1 free special in July. If the card project I share includes one of the DSP’s that will be part of the offer, I will note it. This will be a great time to purchase some of the new papers!
June Paper Pumpkin
June Paper Pumpkin is going to coordinate with the Broadway Bound Suite of products. You don’t have to order the suite if you are already receiving Paper Pumpkin monthly or if you choose to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin this month, but it will be a fun month to use the stamp set and coordinating Framelits! Subscribe by June 10 to receive the project. The Broadway Bound Suite can be found on pages 68-69 of the Annual Catalog. I will use a piece of the Designer Series Paper in tomorrow’s card project. I love the paper with gold foil on some of the sheets! I had issues with the new Poppy Parade ink but I will share the card so you can see that not all projects turn out as planned! LOL!

Just breathe and relax with Peaceful Reflection photopolymer stamp set. I had a vision of flowers emerging from the water with floating lotus flowers. I used the “just breathe” sentiment from the Colorful Seasons photopolymer set but instead of having a long sentiment, I masked each word while I stamped the other. You can do this with a post-it note but I use Therm O Web Purple Tape, it is gentle and delicate and doesn’t tear your cardstock if you use the tape to hold cardstock and framelits in place when running through the Big Shot or securing cardstock in the Stamparatus. You can purchase it from several vendors, I’ll post a picture below with the products I used for the card.

We will be more successful in all of our endeavors if we can let go of the habit of running all the time, and take little pauses to relax and recenter ourselves. And we’ll also have a lot more joy in living. – Thich Nhat Hanh, author and teacher

Delightfully Detailed note cards are a new addition to the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. These printed cards are ready to add a stamp or sentiment and send. The note card set includes 20 note cards that have a watercolor background in Blackberry Bliss or Mint Macaron on Very Vanilla.
As you can see, I simply added a flower stamp and two sentiments using Black Memento ink to create a beautiful note to send.
As I mentioned the other day, I am attempting another 30 day challenge with posts on Facebook, Instagram and this blog. I will be adding a newsletter too so I don’t want to overwhelm you with card posts. I will be experimenting with format change and may just send an email that reminds you that new content has been added or when I write the newsletter I will provide a link to see the daily card posts. I hope you will remember to check in and see the posts!

Last chance products will be gone soon! Don’t forget that at the end of May you won’t be able to order the retiring items in the 2017-2018 catalog. Yes, there are some great new items to order and enjoy, but I have a ton of favorites from last year and I am glad I have ordered while available. Some items are on sale too, so it’s a great opportunity to shop!
I used new colors (Pineapple Punch, Soft Sea Foam, Mango Melody) along with returning color Mossy Meadow and favorites Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive to create this card using a sentiment from retiring Birthday Blossoms and the designs from Paisleys and Posies stamp set and coordinating Paisleys Framelits. I created a stamped only version which was posted on Instagram.
I spent some time last week coordinating all the new colors and ink pads. I bought another paper holder but I could use another! I have several colors doubled up. I also included a picture of the new colors. They are so much prettier when you actually see and touch them!
I heard some of your received your 2018-2019 Annual Catalog! How exciting, don’t you love all the new Stampin’ Blends. We weren’t able to pre-order those, so I’ll be placing another order early June! I think I have enough of the new stamps that I want for now. Well, or more correctly, I have to start using some of them before I buy more!! 😛
